Sunday morning, Jake Tapper made a fairly big deal about how several Republicans (including the president himself) had declined coming on State of the Union to talk about the shootings over the weekend.

Yes, he works for the same outlet that invited Dana Loesch and Marco Rubio on to be BLAMED and blasted for Parkland while Sheriff Scott Israel sat there looking smug so was Jake really surprised they said no?
After that Parkland townhall fiasco, CNN lost the right to feign outrage about this. They're not operating in good faith and their opponents know it. https://t.co/M35uj6iFrT

Of course, they’re not operating in good faith.
It’s CNN.
Jake Tapper sat there and let Scott Israel blame Dana Loesch for his own failures, in front of a screaming crowd. For him to pretend to be an unbiased observer is astonishing.

Astonishing indeed, and not in a good way.
But not unpredictable.
I generally like Tapper too, at least in comparison to the others at that network. But the feigned outrage yesterday was gross, especially given that he never apologized for that town hall garbage after it became crystal clear Israel was a charlatan.

The Parkland Townhall was a case of Democrat misdirection, designed to divert attention away from the local Democrat school and police officials who actually bore responsibility for it. Tapper was a willing participant who never challenged their false narrative.

Plus, with CNN's dismal ratings, nobody actually sees it. A viral tweet gets more views than CNN…

Ouch.
Why on Earth would anyone who isn’t in a position to politically pander go on this show during a crisis?
Ignoring that McConnell has a fractured shoulder and Abbot is literally trying to pour water on this dumpster fire. What a take.
— SherlockT (@SherlockTowers) August 5, 2019
Which is probably why so many Democrats were willing to go on the show.
Good point.
Not to mention giving Richard Spencer, an actual White Supremacist, airtime…..

Can’t help but notice they didn’t bring him back on this time. HEH.
It was a circus and Jake was the Ringmaster.

So what else is new?
