Hmm. Or could it be a way to set up Huma Abedin for her own run?
More, the Weiner presser seemed more for wife Huma to play the stoic martyr, suffering for family. Maybe just to set her up for her own run.

@josephcurl exactly – playing the Hillary card and idiot Ds like Mika praising her.

Others, including talk radio host Laura Ingraham, are making the Huma-Hillary connection:

Huma isn't in love with Anthony Weiner. As with Hillary, Huma's in love with power and this chump is merely a vehicle to get there.

I wldn't be surprised if #anthonyweiner's wife Huma Abedin followed in @HillaryClinton's footsteps and ran for Sen. seat

Heh.
These liberal woman who make themselves into doormats for their men aren't feminists. They are tools. #Huma #Hillary #ElizabethEdwards

So bottom line: Hillary & Huma dont think they can accomplish anything w/out supporting foolishness from a man. #ThanksFeminists #Regression

You’ve come a long way, baby!
In re-watching the Weiner presser, another thing is glaring: Why on earth is Huma smiling?! 'Anthony's made some horrible mistakes [smile].'

Will Twitter be prescient once again? Stay tuned! In the meantime, here is a Weiner palate cleanser from Joseph Curl:
