So, the leader of the Socialists is a big, fat scam artist.

He lied about living in a million-dollar apartment his parents purchased for him.
Looks like the NY times reporter got completely taken for a ride. No mention of the fact that he wasn’t actually in the union, couldn’t discern where he lived when it took a single phone call for the post to do, no mention of multiple soflo mansions…wonder how that happened? https://t.co/CCvseIZlKx

It seems like the journalist initially wasn't too worried about finding the truth.
I mean who exactly cares if some DSA leader is rich? Franklin Roosevelt was rich. Donald Trump is rich. People in politics are often rich. It’s what’s they do with the money that counts. https://t.co/bArZAPhMTt

Is there evidence he is using his money right now to help the poor? Giving to charity? Helping feed and house the poor? Paying tuition for poor students? If he believes in wealth redistribution, start distributing right now.
I don’t understand this genre of reporting.

Imagine if American journalists subjected Israeli officials carrying out a genocide to even an ounce of this scrutiny.
And isn’t it better for the privileged to fight for others to have what they have? https://t.co/eCnW0wu1Yo
Yes, the Corporate Media has never taken political leaders to task about their money and what they do with it. This is the first time ever. Maybe Leftists aren't aware this happens frequently to Conservative political operatives, but they've just never had to deal with the scrutiny.
Also, typical anti-Semite with the 'BUT ISRAEL', response.
this is so dumb. Why does it matter whether he’s rich or not? Does it invalidate his ideas just because he’s rich? Medicare for All doesn’t somehow become invalid because one of its supporters can afford health insurance

It matters because these people are advocating for principles that will harm the middle class and working class very specifically but will never pay the repercussions themselves.
Love watching the DSA hacks try to spin this. Same people who were happy to have Mamdani show up in front of Ken Griffin’s pad. Remember, if your rich daddy bought you a house in Brooklyn it’s okay if you agree with “our” lefty politics. But if you don’t then your house is…

They are hypocrites. They aren't trying to help the middle class or the working class. They want Communism.
Lotta people writing this off as "it's a nothingburger."

If people like this aren't currently willing to give up their luxuries in the name of the working class solidarity that they preach, why would they do it when all the rich are having their wealth expropriated?
And they can start giving that money away right now. There is no reason to wait for the government to compel it. If they are true believers, get to it.
