Some Republicans today are rejoicing over the election of far-left candidates in New York last night. They believe this will reflect very poorly on Democrats as a whole and help Republicans win in the midterms. I wish I could be that optimistic.
I fear the voters are far too apathetic, and the ones who are not apathetic want more free stuff. This applies particularly to younger voters, who constantly decry 'the Boomers' and believe they don’t have the same opportunities to buy houses and claim their share of the American Dream.
There’s a notion that it’s a “good thing” for lunatic communists to be voted onto the national stage because it will expose their lunacy. This doesn’t work. Their voters are every bit as bad as they are and there are millions more of them than there were even 10 years ago.

These candidates are very popular and the people who support them are very active politically. It's everything to them. They protest, phone bank, march and go door to door like it is their job. For many of them, it is.
Yeah I think I agree with you. It's just shifting the overton window

The shift has been exponential since 2020, with the goal of making unfathomably un American candidates electable.

Ten years ago, no one could have imagined that candidates who openly hate America, claim America deserved 9/11, brag about using the flag as a napkin, call Republicans 'fascists,' and proudly espouse socialism would have any realistic chance of winning elections.
"Rational people will stop them" is the largest fallacy of the last 10-15 years

What happens when there aren’t enough of those people left? ‘Normies’ aren’t paying attention and won’t wake up until it’s too late. The ones who are paying attention like our dear readers already have full lives: families, jobs, and hobbies that matter to them.
No one is as rabid as the Communists posing as Democrats these days.
“They’ll grow out of it when they get into the real world.”

No, they just get jobs working for NGOs or go to school non-stop. Much like 'Darializa' who has never held a real job at age 31.
They said once they had to join the workforce, reality would take over
— Billionaire Chimp (@ChimpWithMoney) June 24, 2026
They said once they started getting power in companies, they wouldn't change the culture
They said if they ran for offices, the moderates would defeat them on the primary level.
What's the plan now?
They joined the workforce, complained and were lazy so they never advanced. They're miserable and the only way they can progress is on the taxpayer's dime.
💯, it's a real thing. I'm significantly concerned for the midterms

All Americans should be terrified for the future of their families. Our children will never have the America we inherited. We owe our children better than this.
Most people are wildly unaware how popular it is among the next generation now

People need to start talking to their kids again. Parents and grandparents must explain why America deserves far better than a radical Islamic government dressed up as communism.
