This is insane.
UCLA pulled out of the Holiday Bowl in San Diego against North Carolina State just a few hours before kickoff after a number of players tested positive for Covid:
UCLA just pulled out of the Holiday Bowl a few hours before kickoff. What in the world are we doing? No college athletes should be getting tested for covid. They’re all 100% fine. Most have no idea if they even have it. This is a total farce. Embarrassing. pic.twitter.com/tJDntAkuLB

Well, at least UCLA players got to go to Sea World and participate in the other bowl-game festivities while leaving fans WHO FLEW IN FROM NORTH CAROLINA TOTALLY BONED:
UCLA, you really, really suck:
UCLA was at Sea World 3 days ago. On a battle ship 2 days ago.
Why allow them to do this with the idea that the game can be cancelled? pic.twitter.com/SDZg8z4wYQ

According to reports, the team knew they had Covid issues going into the game but still participated in these bowl-week activities:
SOURCES: Tonight’s Holiday Bowl between UCLA & NC State is getting canceled. The Bruins D-Line room has been decimated by Covid issues.

Fans have every right to be pissed:
Travel 2,500 miles. Miss Christmas with their families. Cancel the game 4 hours before it starts.

It IS embarrassing:
UCLA pulls out of the Holiday Bowl hours before kick-off.
Everyone knows where I stand on this, so sorry for being repetitive.
But it is so insulting to NC State players, coaches fans and who spent thousands of dollars to fly across country to allow this to happen. Embarrassing https://t.co/6RuaNDHtBq
