We've been hearing a lot more about what New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani described as the "warmth of socialism" lately. One upside is apparently filled potholes.
Mamdani: "For all of the fearmongering about Democratic Socialism, the best response is to show what it actually means: The Democratic socialist vision paved more than 170,000 potholes." pic.twitter.com/qi9aIwRTko

Mamdani said socialism is the future of the Democratic Party, and good luck with that in swing states, Comrade:

“What these candidates offer is a vision that extends beyond the midterms, that extends beyond 2028.” pic.twitter.com/WpqOAjrDBA
And what is that "vision"?
The co-chair of the New York City DSA was on Fox News with Martha MacCallum trying to explain why their vision is so awesome, and it was a train wreck.
First off, there shouldn't be a constitutional right for a landlord to make much of a profit.
New York City DSA co-chair Gustavo Gordillo: “Landlords in New York have been making a 12% return on their investment.”

Fox News’ Martha MacCallum: “How much should they make? What’s fair for the landlord to make?”

Mamdani and the New York City DSA co-chairs are the Marxist Three Musketeers: All for one, one for everybody else's money!
Also, if the private sector can't compete with taxpayer/debt-funded government operations, they shouldn't have existed in the first place.
“Maybe they shouldn’t have been in that business in the first place.”

That’s how the co-chair of New York’s Socialist Party responded to concerns that a state-run grocery store could force a locally owned business to close.
So much for the “warmth of collectivism.” pic.twitter.com/v8MieiCZah
Socialists are often either evil or stupid. I'd bet this guy's the latter and as a secondary wager guess there's a good chance he either still lives with his parents or lives off them.
This next one might be my favorite clip of the week. Gordillo, proponent of socialism/communism (communism is just socialism in a hurry after all) said that his family fled Peru and came to the U.S. to escape, well, the very lunacy he's trying to bring to NYC and the rest of the country.
Fox News’ Martha MacCallum: “It’s interesting because [your family came from Peru during the takeover of communism]. The Shining Path… they wanted to overthrow the Democratic institutions in Peru. They wanted to ABOLISH capitalism in Peru. We see some of those SAME THREATS in… pic.twitter.com/vzPF0EQAvR

I didn't want to start the weekend overdosing on insanity and lunacy, but here we are. Hope you all have a good one!
