It's been said that a communist is just a socialist in a hurry, and occasionally a "democratic socialist" will come right out and admit to what the ultimate goal is:

With the midterms approaching, the "democratic socialists" who are running for office as Democrats will try hard to pretend not to be communists bent on destroying the U.S. as we know it, all while grinning broadly (see Zohran Mamdani and Abdul El-Sayed for just two examples).
It became even more clear that the DSA people know their real goals don't match up with what most Americans want during this exchange on Fox News about open borders and deportations. Chop up one commie word salad and mix it with a family immigration story that isn't making the point she thinks:

One of the most annoying things about leftists is when they conflate legal and illegal immigration. Coming to the U.S. through Ellis Island was not the same thing as running across an open border during a Democrat presidency.

By "demilitarizing the border" she of course means making the border what it was during the administration of President Autopen and Dr. Jill. No, Americans don't want that. If they did, Kamala Harris and "Tampon Tim" would be in office.

Basically when a lefty says "Americans support the thing that Harris and Walz were 100 percent behind" they're obviously lying through their Marxist teeth. There are many reasons Trump won a second term, and that issue is one of the biggest.
