USA Today Columnist's Assessment of Trump's Second Term So Far Is a Ratio-Worthy Doozy

Twitchy

Donald Trump took office for his second term six months ago, and since then the border has been secured, immigration laws are being enforced and criminal illegals are being deported. Additionally the other wins keep stacking up:

I'll also add "defunded NPR and PBS" and "exposed Obama, Brennan and Deep State efforts to wage a coup against Trump and push the 'Russia collusion'" hoax to that list as well.

Add it all up and this is how one USA Today columnist is reviewing the first half year of Trump's second term:

At first I thought maybe Stephen Colbert already got a new job as a columnist but that's not the case.

The article itself is a buffet of BS Democrat talking points.

After spending a bit of time denouncing the inhumane conditions at "Alligator Alcatraz" (in that case the illegals being housed there should be thrilled to get sent back where they came from), the conclusion of the article nearly made me spit out my morning coffee. After arguing that people in the country illegally should be allowed to stay and be a drain on national resources, the author argues that Trump isn't prioritizing Americans:

In all seriousness, the cruelty is not the point for a Republican Party that is both successful in pushing its agenda and failing in convincing Americans it's worth pushing. The Trump administration is busy producing smoke and mirrors to pacify its political base by targeting immigrants while failing to improve the lives of the working class. The needless meanness is merely a comforting distraction for an entire political party that can't be bothered to actually help Americans.

Um, Trump's whole immigration policy IS helping Americans (and saving lives as well). But of course lefties like this put people in the country illegally under the "Americans" umbrella.

The effort to conflate "illegal aliens" and "immigrants" continues, and of course many in the media are happy to help.

Libs haven't been this upset since "West Wing" got canceled, and that means Trump's second term has been a big success so far.
