About four years ago when former President Obama was speaking in Brazil, he demonstrated just how dishonest liberals are about U.S. gun laws, and of course he wanted to give people in other countries the wrong impression:
Obama tells Brazil crowd: "Some of you may be aware our gun laws in the United States don’t make much sense. Anybody can buy any weapon any time — without much if any regulation, they can buy it over the Internet, they can buy machine guns." pic.twitter.com/MFFTgaFwLS

Fast forward to 2023 and Obama is encouraging Americans to have a dialogue about “gun violence,” and when a Democrat calls for dialogue that translates to “agreeing to do whatever the Left demands”:
Former President Barack Obama is urging Americans to have a dialogue about gun violence as the U.S. recently surpassed 200 mass shootings so far this year, according to CBS News data. https://t.co/Q18p7FLzO8

That concern about guns is coming from the guy whose administration gave us Fast & Furious?
He should have had a conversation with that gun runner Eric Holder.

Eric Holder unavailable for comment.
It’s not gun ownership, Barry. It’s not paying attention to ppl who are clearly violent. It’s ignoring the decay in our society and culture. Start the dialogue there.

Bingo! The irony is that Obama was in Chicago when he said that, home of strict gun control where there are always shootings that the Left tries to ignore while focusing on other places where they can more easily push their bogus narratives and blame-shifting.
As usual, Obama is completely shameless.
Ok. Violent crime is up because of Democrat policies. Let’s talk about it.

Naturally that’s not the “dialogue” Obama wants to have.
It’s always amazing to me how lefties like Obama, who insist on the kinds of policies that keep criminals on the streets, sit around and wonder why so many Americans feel the need to be armed. It’s probably a little easier for Obama to say the rest of us don’t need guns because he’s surrounded by armed security 24/7.
He's asking white Republicans to give up our weapons while the border is being flooded with immigrants who may be armed and dangerous and the Administration is trying to label every white Trump supporter a white supremacist.

Yep, that’s pretty much what’s happening!
Reminder of the Obvious: whenever libs say they want “dialogue,” what they really want is to curtail your rights. https://t.co/hEdotyjDNj

CBS News of course didn’t ask Obama why whatever miracle legislation he thinks would end shootings wasn’t put through during Biden’s first two years in office when the Dems controlled everything.
Former President Barack Obama is urging Americans to have a dialogue about gun violence as the U.S. recently surpassed 200 mass shootings so far this year, according to CBS News data.
Obama discussed the challenges of reducing gun violence and how gun ownership has become an “ideological” and “partisan” issue during an exclusive sit-down interview with “CBS Mornings” co-host Nate Burleson. The full interview will air on Tuesday, May 16.
“I think somehow — and there are a lot of historical reasons for this — gun ownership in this country became an ideological issue, and a partisan issue, in ways that it shouldn’t be,” Obama told Burleson. “It has become sort of a proxy for arguments about our culture wars, you know? Urban versus rural. Race is always an element in these issues. Issues of class and education, and so forth.”
“Race is always an element” — yes, such as when Biden and the Democrats label non-white shooters as “white supremacists.”
