Late last night and into Wednesday morning a ground halt was issued for the first time since 9/11 after an outage with the FAA’s computer system:
Departing flights across the United States were grounded Wednesday morning after the Federal Aviation Administration said it had experienced a computer outage.
The FAA said later that it had ordered all airlines to pause domestic departures until 9 a.m. ET.
More than 4,000 flights within, to and out of the U.S. were delayed as of around 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, according to the online flight tracker FlightAware. Nearly 700 flights were listed as canceled.
The FAA said on its website that its Notice to Air Missions (NOTAM) system had “failed.” NOTAM contains information essential to workers involved in flight operations.
I think we can all agree that the transportation situation on all levels has gotten crappier since Biden took office and made Pete Buttigieg the Secretary of Transportation.
But don’t worry, the people who are no doubt part of the problem are taking it upon themselves to fix those issues. Buttigieg said he and his department are going to get to the bottom of the FAA computer outage:
FAA has determined that the safety system affected by the overnight outage is fully restored, and the nationwide ground stop will be lifted effective immediately. I have directed an after-action process to determine root causes and recommend next steps.

Buttigieg’s going to diagnose the “root causes”? Great. Whenever somebody from this administration speaks about “root causes” what follows will be a wish list of spending, narrative pushing, and woke gobbledygook.
What will the “root causes” be? Naturally first and foremost the Biden White House and Dems will use this as an opportunity to spend some more money (even though over a trillion dollar infrastructure bill was passed in late 2021).

LOL! Right?
The “root causes” are going to end up being climate change, racism, a lack of funding, and a lack of equity.
Prediction: the root cause will be greedy airline executives. Also, racism. https://t.co/82V9WHY8wF

Oh yes, I forgot to include “corporate greed.”
Big news: @PeteButtigieg has come back from maternity leave to make sure an "after-action process" will provide "next steps."
The root cause, of course, is having Pete serve as Transportation Secretary. https://t.co/WOSCXzS6uO

When the cop asks why I’m on the freeway, driving the wrong way, drunk & on a rider mower:
“I have directed an after-action process to determine root causes and recommend next steps.” https://t.co/WNfJtRJTXX— Jon Gabriel (@exjon) January 11, 2023
“The road is racist, officer.”
They still haven't found the "root causes" of the border crisis.
Wonder how long it will take them to find the "root causes" of this fiasco. https://t.co/e8WXELHgKO

The “root causes” for this will be the same as the border debacle. “Never let a crisis go to waste” and all that.
