As Twitchy told you yesterday, former Marjory Stoneman Douglas SRO and Broward County sheriff’s deputy Scot Peterson was arrested and is facing charges including child neglect and culpable negligence.
CNN’s Chris Cuomo wasn’t happy with that and explained why this way:
CNN's @ChrisCuomo: "Only in America" do we respond to a mass shooting by arresting the officer who failed to respond.
"This is the best we can do? Like I say, it’s often misunderstood but it’s true. Only in America do you respond to something like this this way." pic.twitter.com/rtPeZ4I0Zf

Really?
Technically they also arrested the murderer but whatevs

There’s just so much “facepalm” in Cuomo’s reaction.
I guess “Only in America” @ChrisCuomo missed the part about the shooter being apprehended and arrested? https://t.co/saXj4LWAtJ

Does he know we also arrested the shooter? I’m at a loss https://t.co/JsRTQTAX7w

As if we didn't arrest the shooter

And the Broward sheriff was removed from office, but that was after CNN helped the Left forward their talking points by featuring him at a shameful town hall holding the NRA responsible.
So ridiculous on multiple levels. Because @ChrisCuomo didn't get gun control laws he wanted, a cop who failed to protect his charges (to an apparent criminal degree) shouldn't be prosecuted? It's an insult to non sequiturs. https://t.co/eNJJjpmALj

“Ridiculous on multiple levels” should be CNN’s slogan.
This man is an attorney. He actually studied law. I just…how? How can he be this ignorant of the actual law while spouting this?!?

The press is all for holding the powerful accountable—unless the powerful are Democrats. https://t.co/pyWfoNrH08

CNN still going to bat for the police who failed so miserably in Florida. At least they are consistent. https://t.co/vcNcjGHjdc

CNN owes people some serious apologies, but that’s not about to happen.
Welcome to peak 2019.

And the year is still young.
We’ll just leave this one right here:
Kinda says it all. Clearly Cuomo and Lemon's feelings mean more than the families in Parkland. https://t.co/0erQlxnx7S
