Remember when one of the most well-known Democrat presidents in American history said this?
“Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.”
That of course has since been flipped on its ear, and the Democrats are now saying “ask what your country (taxpayers) can do for you, not what you can do for your country (that’s awful and racist anyway).”
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is among lefties who has never heard anybody complain about the government doing too much for them:

For me and many others the issue isn’t what the government does “for them,” it’s what the government does TO them.
She is part of the Democrat party right? Guess they aren’t the party of your grandparents/parents anymore 🤷🏼♀️ pic.twitter.com/3ESIbaE8Mx

Most definitely not!
I want the government to do less for me. There, I just said it.

Government does too much TO me.

I seem to remember a time when somebody complained about the government doing “too much”:

Also the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade and sending the issue of abortion back to the states was also the government “doing something for” people by following the Constitution, but AOC only sees it that way when the issue is a leftist overreach.
