I wrote earlier today about Sen. Ted Cruz taking Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas apart over his mishandling of national security issues (it’s not a mishandling as much as this administration has intentionally left the border porous).
Cruz said Mayorkas should resign:

In fairness to Mayorkas, perhaps he was a bit shell-shocked by the time Republican Sen. John Kennedy said hello to him in his own way, and the DHS secretary wasn’t ready for it. This is pretty funny:

Insisting the border is totally secure when he knows it’s not has clearly made Mayorkas a little jumpy.
