Last night Elon Musk, via a very telling thread from Matt Taibbi, finally shared a trove of emails showing the team at Twitter that was in place at the time working in conjunction with Dems and others to keep stories about Hunter Biden’s laptop and its contents buried and labeled as misinformation.
Now that the material has been made public, there’s now an obvious attempt to make Hunter Biden a victim of sorts in all this. Here’s just a sampling:
It is, in fact, Twitter exercising its right to moderate its platform as it sees fit, including taking down nude pictures of people who did not consent for them to be posted on the internet. pic.twitter.com/5ucaXwowsS

For the millionth time, the First Amendment only applies to the government. Biden was a private individual and his campaign wasn't the government. The links were literally to accounts that posted nude pictures of Hunter Biden, which is revenge porn and is unlawful in many states. pic.twitter.com/6KFkPccLMJ

Elon is spending the evening trying to embarrass someone who’s struggled with addiction so that he can juice engagement on the platform he bought that’s hemorrhaging money.

Warning: Narrative shift in progress:
OUT: The laptop is fake, it's Russian disinfo
IN: Why do you want to see Hunter's dick anyway? https://t.co/b07F8sgh1Y

It seems that many on the Left are intentionally missing the forest for the trees. Gee, why would that be?
This new talking point among the "disinfo" journos is pathetic. In Oct. 2020, I was instantly locked out of my account for tweeting a non-nude pic from Hunter's laptop. Twitter disabled the URL to the @nypost story, which had no nude pictures. Try again. https://t.co/b07F8sgh1Y

And the “Biden and his team weren’t even in government at the time” excuses are something else. What about all the intel officials who signed a letter calling the laptop stories a likely “Russian disinformation campaign”?
Nice deflection try………..this had nothing to do with pictures, it has everything to do with corruption.

The attempt to now turn this into a controversy over naked pictures is a pivot so fast they might get whiplash.
1) Twitter disabled the URL for the New York Post article which contained no nude pictures.
2) Twitter prevented the New York Post from tweeting AT ALL until after the election
3) Before Elon, Twitter executives admitted they erred here. And as a journalist you're defending this? https://t.co/4xYLDBUxop— Blue Shift Blog (@BlueShiftBlog) December 3, 2022
Such is the sad state of modern “journalism.”
