If you’ve been keeping score at home, you know the Biden administration and Democrats’ spin when it comes to gas prices.
A gallon of gas was pretty cheap for the most part when Donald Trump was in office. Then Biden took office and started tearing apart America’s energy independence under Trump and gas prices started to rise. Then they kept rising. At that point Vladimir Putin invaded Ukraine and suddenly the Biden White House had their “Putin’s price hike” spin. When they needed an extra scapegoat Team Biden went with “Big Oil greed.”
But then several weeks ago the price of a gallon of gas started to drop, and guess what — Biden credited his actions (draining the nation’s Strategic Petroleum Reserve, etc.)
Now that gas is increasing rapidly again, we’re back to “Big Oil greed.”
California Gov. Gavin Newsom is among Dems blaming greedy oil companies (where was all this greed when Trump was in office?). Newsom’s solution to bringing down gas prices? Raising taxes on oil companies:
Here are the facts: Crude oil prices are DOWN. And yet…gas prices are up. That’s because greedy oil companies are ripping you off.
They are raking in record profits at your expense.
