Before becoming president, Joe Biden promised in a 2020 interview not to construct “another foot” of border fence:
Since that promise there have been a couple of exceptions: First, the Biden administration has said they’re not building new fence at the southern border in Arizona, but are merely “plugging some holes.”
The second exception to Biden’s pledge to not build “another foot” of fence is so taxpayers can drop a half million dollars to build a wall around his beach house in Delaware.
Biden built a fence around his Delaware beach but won’t build a wall in Texas.

Democrats often say “walls don’t work” and “bridges not walls,” but that is of course for everybody else, not them. That’s sure not a “bridge” that’s being constructed around Biden’s home!

The “walls don’t work” rhetoric also often comes from some of the same people who claim that “guns don’t make you safer” while surrounded by armed security.
After spending much of his summer vacation on Kiawah Island, South Carolina, President Biden is heading back to his multimillion-dollar beach house in his home state of Delaware, where he’s building a taxpayer-funded security fence at a cost that’s ballooned to nearly $500,000.
Biden is expected to arrive at his $2.7 million summer house in the North Shores community of Rehoboth Beach on Saturday after spending the last couple nights in Wilmington, Delaware, according to data released by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). On Wednesday, Biden was briefly at the White House signing of the $739 billion Inflation Reduction Act into law.
In September 2021, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) awarded $456,548 to a Sussex County company to construct a security fence around the president’s home.
In other words, the DHS is unlocking the fence at the southern border and locking things up tight with fencing around Biden’s beach house.
