I wrote yesterday about how Google's new AI tool, Gemini, seemed to have a problem generating photos of Caucasian males. People were posting images of Asian plantation owners, Asian Nazis, and black Vikings. Skeptical, I asked Gemini to generate an image of an American founding father and got this:
We've since looked at the Twitter feed of the guy responsible for Gemini and, not surprisingly, he has a big problem with white people. And he's apparently not the only one.
As I said, I'm skeptical of all of these screenshots from Gemini, but our reporting bears out everyone's experiences. For example, I saw this and couldn't believe it was real:
Google Gemini can’t generate a “Norman Rockwell style image of American life in the 1940s” because Rockwell “idealized” American life pic.twitter.com/lpUV39tSUb

For "ethical reasons." I typed in the same exact prompt a day later and got this:

We are working to improve Gemini’s ability to generate images of people. We expect this feature to return soon and will notify you in release updates when it does.
Are they working to generate images of white people? One person found Gemini would happily generate an image of a black scientist but gave an excuse as to why it couldn't do the same for a white scientist.
Creating a Normal Rockwell-like image "could perpetuate harmful stereotypes or inaccurate representations."

Insanity. Literal insanity.

Note that Norman Rockwell created one of the most iconic images from the Civil Rights Era called "The Problem We All Live With." This LLM tainted with a woke blue haired prompt isn't even remotely correct about this.

So the lives of the people that lived in the art he painted, never existed ?

Boy, Gemini sure lectures a lot! You asked it for a picture, not an unwanted education in woke “ethics”.

There's apparently been such a backlash that Gemini won't generate images of people at all right now. I just asked it to generate an image of a happy black man and got the same message.
Is it any suprise that a woke company like @google would make their AI woke as well? C'mon people. It's what they do.

Ethical considerations. Showing white people in any positive light is problematic, according to my programmers.

Every painting whether past, present, or future, must be a melange of social justice ideas, otherwise it's hopelessly racist.

I managed to brute force Gemini to provide a strict technical analysis. It still wouldn't generate an image. pic.twitter.com/8EGigCNC7I

Ask it to depict the Google founders. That should break it.

Google proudly rolls out its new AI program and a day later is offline and working on generating images of people.
Keep in mind that Vice President Kamala Harris is the Biden Administration's artificial intelligence czar. She'll be just as effective as she was at the border.
The woke mind virus is killing Western Civilization.

Google does the same thing with their search results. Facebook & Instagram too.
