Well, the January 6 select committee held its final hearing and published its final report, coming to the shocking conclusion that former President Donald Trump should be referred to the Justice Department for federal prosecution. We’ve seen a lot of rumblings about member Rep. Liz Cheney possibly running for president in 2024 after her star performance at the hearings. Never mind that more than one of her colleagues on the committee denied the legitimacy of the 2016 election, with election denier Rep. Jamie Raskin now telling the press that the Electoral College has got to go. As for all of the “intelligence” that didn’t make it into the final report, who knows?
J6 Committee wrapping up. Has released tiny amount of evidence gathered. What about rest? Not required to release everything. Up to Chmn Thompson. He says he 'intends' to release 'bulk' of 'nonsensitive' records. Could mean anything. Can destroy the rest. https://t.co/6S3YGqP2Ut

Washington Post columnist Eugene Robinson told “Morning Joe” that he couldn’t say enough about what the committee was able to achieve.
"I can't say enough about what this committee was able to achieve…the gravitas they displayed at all times, and the impact that it's having in the country, and I think it's because of Bennie Thompson and Liz Cheney." – @Eugene_Robinson https://t.co/vRLf2S9fez

Much marveling about how well J6 Committee worked together. Skipped most salient fact: They were all chosen by same person, picked because they agreed with each other. Ran made-for-TV 'hearings' with zero disagreements among members or cross-exam of witnesses. Bad precedent. https://t.co/jexwqcXkiV

The ultimate echo chamber.

Did any of them ever talk to Ray Epps on the record? I never did hear…
— Jack Klemeyer (@JackKlemeyer) December 26, 2022
We know there were zero mentions of “Ray Epps” in the final report, even though the committee had interviewed him twice and Rep. Adam Kinzinger told the “crazies” that “Ray” was “just another misled man” who disappeared from the FBI’s suspect database because Epps’ attorney said Epps called the FBI on January 8 after a relative told him he had appeared in news reports related to the riot. Kinzinger explained that he hadn’t done anything criminal.
“Gravitas” 😂🤡😂

It was the coute d’gras for the TDS congress led by psycho devil Pelosi.

As one MSNBC pundit said, it was a sort of “echo” of the Mueller investigation, and we all know how that turned out.
