LA County DA orders prosecutors to avoid filing criminal charges against illegals that could lead to deportation

Here’s another story about Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón, who is among the worst of the worst when it comes to prosecuting crimes. Sadly, as we reported in August, an effort to recall him failed after nearly 30 percent of signatures were rejected. Just this summer, Gascón doubled down on the handling of cop killer Justin Flores’ gun case, saying it was “appropriate” and that “possession of a gun is not a violent crime.”

Now Fox News is reporting that Gascón is ordering prosecutors to avoid filing criminal charges that could get illegal immigrants deported.

His office is very much concerned with “overly punitive consequences.”

It’s a mystery why 97.9% of the prosecutors in the L.A. County DA office union voted to support the recall of their boss.

This does sound like a direct violation of criminal law, if not the Constitution. You break the law in coming here, and then have charges reduced against you so you don’t face deportation.
