Here’s another story about Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón, who is among the worst of the worst when it comes to prosecuting crimes. Sadly, as we reported in August, an effort to recall him failed after nearly 30 percent of signatures were rejected. Just this summer, Gascón doubled down on the handling of cop killer Justin Flores’ gun case, saying it was “appropriate” and that “possession of a gun is not a violent crime.”
Now Fox News is reporting that Gascón is ordering prosecutors to avoid filing criminal charges that could get illegal immigrants deported.
NEW: @FoxNews has obtained a new special directive issued by LA DA @GeorgeGascon today, ordering his prosecutors to avoid filing criminal charges that could lead to deportation for illegal immigrants, & to seek diversion for them instead whenever possible. https://t.co/8Wix0w0PBu

.@EricSiddall, the Vice President of the union representing prosecutors in the LA DA office, tells us this new policy appears discriminatory towards U.S. citizens.
"That's saying we're going to give better deals to someone because of their immigration status," he said.@FoxNews

A spokeswoman for Gascon’s office tells @FoxNews the new directive is a “comprehensive immigration policy that protects vulnerable victims and prioritizes safety while attempting to avoid overly punitive consequences for the accused.”

His office is very much concerned with “overly punitive consequences.”
That’s a clear violation of the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment of the US Constitution. You cannot give special treatment to some, in this case based on immigration status. It’s unconstitutional. @pnjaban @USSupremeCourt

Chesa Boudin did the same thing in San Francisco while he was DA. The result? Organized drug dealing tripled on our streets. Why? Because many dealers are undocumented from Honduras. That's the uncomfortable truth.

Didn't they swear an oath? Pretty sure they are breaking it.

Los Angeles: where Public Defenders LARP as District Attorneys 🤷♀️🤦♀️
— Kat (@pjgirl74) December 7, 2022
It’s a mystery why 97.9% of the prosecutors in the L.A. County DA office union voted to support the recall of their boss.
So if you violate immigration laws, you are then rewarded by (discriminatory) extra leniency solely on the basis of your past illegal activity? That’s … an interesting public safety strategy with major 14A implications.

So if you are a victim of an illegal alien’s crimes, screw you. @GeorgeGascon would rather protect the criminal and not you.
— Candice (@Candice_AZ) December 7, 2022
So citizens will get harsher sentences than illegals for the same crimes.

This man is pure evil and L.A. citizens still want to keep him around. Enjoy, it’s all good till crime reaches out and touches you.

So letting people off for a crime because they committed another crime. LA is a lost cause.

And LA County will keep voting for him because the media and celebrities tell them to.

Gaston’s perception of justice is based on lies he makes up in his head. He rejects the eternal truth of justice. The evidence – his make believe justice is contingent on skin color and poverty. Dehumanizing.

So, another words, ILLEGAL aliens can commit crimes in LA with no consequences. My gosh, why wouldn’t every criminal from all over the world want to come here?
Biden and the Democrats are destroying our country.

This does sound like a direct violation of criminal law, if not the Constitution. You break the law in coming here, and then have charges reduced against you so you don’t face deportation.
