We apologize for a second Aaron Rupar post in one day, but he’s added some additional insight into Lee Fang’s blockbuster story about Twitter and Facebook closely collaborating with the Department of Homeland Security and the FBI to police “disinformation” like the Hunter Biden laptop story. Fang reported that Facebook and Twitter created special portals for the government to rapidly request takedowns of content.
As Twitchy reported earlier, journalist Rupar’s take on the story was to shame Fang for appearing on Tucker Carlson’s show to spread his story to millions of viewers. The real shame, of course, is that the rest of the mainstream media took a pass, as was well stated by Leighton Woodhouse.
The absolute epitome of the media industry is Lee Fang dropping a blockbuster story of national importance and the response from journalists on Twitter is to line up to scold him for appearing on Tucker.

Rupar is among the people left and right who toxified US politics the most on social media. Super partisan.

And apparently a big fan of government censorship.
Being pro authoritarianism as long as their team is in charge

Is Aaron Rupar the dimmest, most vapid lib "journo" on Twitter? Got to be.

Rupar desperately wishes that someday he could be important enough for Carlson to notice him.

Nobody with a functioning brain considers @atrupar a journalist, but your point is otherwise spot on.

Did any other cable shows invite @lhfang on last night to discuss the huge story he broke? If not, why wouldn't CNN or MSNBC want to talk with him about it? Rhetorical questions but still worth pondering, for those who wonder why "mainstream" media has lost credibility.

One would think this story might appeal to those working the "dystopia beat" like Mr. Collins
— Daniel Berman (@DanielBerman2) November 1, 2022
Yeah, where’s NBC News’ Ben Collins?
99% of the media industry was in on what he reported.
They aren't going to applaud getting busted.

Remember? A dozen people DM’d him to say they were leaving Twitter now that Elon Musk owns it. His followers have probably all deleted their accounts and moved to Canada.
