Back in July, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz blasted Washington, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser after she declared a “humanitarian crisis” after a whopping 4,000 migrants were bused to her sanctuary city from Texas and Arizona. She appealed to the National Guard for help, but it turned her down. She asked again, and the Pentagon once again refused to send in the National Guard, explaining that D.C. Guard is not trained or equipped to care for migrants. Plus, the Pentagon probably didn’t want to risk the same optics disaster that hit the Border Patrol when someone photographed them “whipping” migrants.
The main reason we’re posting this clip from “Good Morning America” is so that you can hear the breathless reporting for ABC White House correspondent MaryAlice Parks. Listen to the drama in her voice when she tells of the 9,000 migrants that have passed through D.C. this summer alone. The coverage is actually pretty fair, but Parks’ reporting is hilarious.

This a joke right?

Since they are a sanctuary city I dont see the problem here.

No sympathy at all for these hypocrites.

Now do Del Rio, Eagle Pass, Laredo, Zapata, McAllen, etc, etc that have a 1/10th of the resources and haven’t declared themselves sanctuary cities where federal laws don’t apply…

If it takes this to make DC and the rest of the US sit up and take notice of what’s happening, then so be it.
Texas: we have a serious problem
Rest of US: doesn’t affect me, so I don’t care but you’re racist if you don’t let them in.
Texas: OK let’s make it your problem.— I Don't PC (@Hendy111) September 10, 2022

Are they ready to admit the sanctuary they have openly promoted for years wasn’t such a great idea?

A “flood” of migrants? Are you insinuating that they – like dangerously rising water – stress emergency resources, devastate infrastructure, and wreck local economies?

Xenophobes. Diversity is our strength. No human is illegal. Hashtag something about racism.

I’m reliably informed by the United States government that the border is closed, so these migrants must be coming from their native surrounding states of Virginia and Maryland. pic.twitter.com/oy9obq5h30

I was told undocumented immigration was a net positive because of all the jobs the people fill that white people don’t want. DC should be super grateful for the help!

If only you could build something that would help stop this.

In that spirit, we’re going to use that graphic we have of Karine Jean-Pierre slamming Donald Trump’s bigoted wall as the graphic for this one. “A flood.”
