After Elon Musk offered to buy Twitter for some $41 billion, liberals went crazy, foreseeing World War III and the destruction of the planet, a death blow to the free world, and massive globe-altering consequences. The thinking goes that free-speech absolutist Musk buys Twitter and unsuspends Donald Trump; Trump returns to Twitter and reignites his base, carrying him back to the White House in 2024; America plunges into fascism and democracy ends.
