Nancy Pelosi says that every leader must condemn despicable anti-Semitic rhetoric

Obviously, Speaker Nancy Pelosi was inspired by Kanye West to tweet this, but her finger-wagging will never get old. It was 2019 when anti-Semitic tweets and statements from Rep. Ilhan Omar became too much for even Pelosi to ignore, and she had drafted a resolution censuring Omar. And we all know how well that turned out: The House got a hold of the resolution and made it a generic denunciation of all “hate speech,” including Islamophobia, to the point where Republicans joked that Omar might even vote for it herself. And she did, which wasn’t so hard, considering she wasn’t even named in it. Omar even had a good laugh after voting for what was supposed to be a resolution censuring her for her anti-Semitism.

So forgive us when we’re not moved by Pelosi’s tweet that every leader must condemn anti-Semitic rhetoric.

That whole episode with Omar is proof that Democrats will never speak out against their own. Instead, they’ll just give Al Sharpton a big hug.
