As Twitchy just reported, MSNBC Mehdi Hasan asked why Democrats didn’t investigate the Trump family on Day 1 as the House Republicans are planning to do with the Biden family and its shady international business dealings. It didn’t take long for people to pull the receipts for Hasan — that’s exactly what House Democrats did, and have kept doing, and are still doing.
The Left is getting ready for a fight, and the New York Times’ Kenneth Vogel reports that David Brock is leaving Media Matters for America in order to focus on Facts First USA, which will act as a “SWAT team” to counter Republican congressional investigations.

Brock wrote back in late October:
Lacking a forward-looking agenda, and aggrieved by the effectiveness of the January 6th Select Committee, Republicans will spend the next two years aggressively investigating President Biden, members of the Administration, and the President’s family. They will do so without regard to facts, without concern for fairness, and without limitation. They seek to grind down the entire executive branch, to limit the White House’s effectiveness, to halt forward momentum, and to engage in character assassination that distracts from real issues, creates a false perception of corruption, runs up legal bills, and threatens the livelihoods of those caught in their web of lies. Ultimately, their objective is to employ scandal-outrage politics to ensure Democrats lose the presidency in 2024.
We’re actually on board with all of that except for the “false perception” of corruption part. The GOP wants to expose the real corruption.
The Left has been worried for months that a GOP House will come up with “all sorts of nonsense reasons” to impeach Biden every week.
