It’s an open secret where the state-sponsored CBC News stands on the Freedom Convoy protests in Canada. The CBC were the ones who tracked down “experts” to explain that the word “freedom” had been co-opted by far-right extremist groups. The CBC also ran a story suggesting that “Russian actors” were behind the Freedom Convoy. CBC Ottawa even found a veterinarian to explain how the convoy was placing added stress on pets.
So here we have CBC senior reporter Ashley Burke covering her news van getting towed out of a snowy ditch where it had gotten stuck. And who helped? A protester in a “Defund the CBC” hat.
CBC’s van slide off the road & got stuck in a ditch beside the protestors’ camp in Arnprior. A demonstrator named Tyson Garneau wearing a “defund the CBC” hat pulled us out knowing we were CBC journalists. He said he’d never leave anyone stuck like that. pic.twitter.com/tNaI2GQPsJ

Garneau says he’s been sleeping in the back of his truck during the ‘freedom convoy’ & arrived at the Arnprior camp today after visiting the camp in Vankleek Hill. He lost his job as a trucker & doesn’t know what comes next but said he wants freedom for his grandkids. pic.twitter.com/JSTYz5ZssV

Thanks for being a good person Tyson. I’m glad he was able to shelf any beliefs and just help a person in need. That does say a lot.

This post is getting alot of support and I happy to see that we can still agree that in general Canadians are good people. After the events that happened I think we all needed this reminder.

Tell that to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who only saw displays of “antisemitism, Islamophobia, anti-Black racism, homophobia, and transphobia” at the protests in Ottawa.
What are the odds of CBC employees helping a freedom convoy protestor?

Tyson is gonna win the Internet today 💯

There's good in everyone. Sometimes they need that specific situation to reveal it.

Something like this restores my faith in humanity and it confirms people still care for each other. You had a dialogue with this gentleman and found out what it was he was protesting. I only wish our prime minister had done the same thing.

Tyson is a good man and would help anyone. Too bad our leaders wouldn't learn from this example.
It saddens me to see so many comments that choose to poison this act of compassion by attempting to impugn the individual.— Garry McKinnon (@Garry_McKinnon) February 23, 2022
Of course they helped.. what did you expect.. they are great people not the monsters you claim them to be

One team thinks that the other team has misguided ideas. The other team thinks anyone with different beliefs doesn't deserve Human Rights.

That’s called takin the high road. Learn from it.

Hope the folks at CBC learn something from him!

Finally a true story from CBC awesome

But keep demonizing these people who are only standing up for freedom. They're good people. Stop ginning up hate.
— Jim Verdi (@jjverdi) February 23, 2022
Sadly you'll be back to demonizing him within 24hrs

We here in the United States have something called PBS that should be defunded.
