It was at an MLK Day gathering in January of 2019 that Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez told an audience, “We’re, like, the world is going to end in 12 years if we don’t address climate change.” Doubling down, AOC cited a piece from The Guardian saying the United Nations believed “we’ve got 12 years left to fix it.”
That was two years ago, so we thought we had only 10 years left (last year, Greta Thunberg said we had only eight years). Now the end of the world has been pushed back indefinitely, but if things don’t change course, whole regions of the United States will be uninhabitable by 2038.
Here we go again…

There are already whole regions that are uninhabitable. California and New York come to mind.

Her district is already unlivable

Of course she runs with this narrative. Half of the spending package is for her.

If the White House’s “Life of Linda” timeline plays out, Linda’s son will have a good-paying union job as a wind turbine technician thanks to his two free years of community college. Remember back when Van Jones was Barack Obama’s “green jobs czar”? So many green jobs came of that.
If you do not support nuclear energy advancement, you are not serious about carbon reduction.
