CNN’s Jake Tapper did what he could as moderator, but the audience at CNN’s “Stand Up: The Students of Stoneman Douglas Demand Action” town hall wasn’t in the mood to sit quietly, particularly when Sen. Marco Rubio or the NRA’s Dana Loesch was speaking.
Loesch takes an amazing amount of abuse online as it is, and during the town hall, someone in the crowd shouted, “You’re a murderer.”

Like Chris Cillizza said, it was “a really, really good discussion.”
I mean, this was the point of the event. Glad CNN got what it came for. https://t.co/8LtdQnI0bp

Guys I think this CNN town hall is really going to win hearts and minds of 2nd Amendment supporters. https://t.co/vvVzbS7pol

Everyone knows that calling your political opponents like @DLoesch "a murderer" is the best way to advance dialogue

This CNN town hall is nuts with a WWE like audience, accomplishing what exactly? Other than provide campaign ad fodder, that is. https://t.co/JKSMx5WUmb

The person just got more of a platform than 99% of people.
That is why this debate about gun control is already over before it started. https://t.co/q3Ph6tCq9Z— Bravest Little Hobbit Of Them All (@HesNotTheStig) February 22, 2018
Yet another reason we can't have a meaningful discussion on this and why nothing changes. https://t.co/A8f7fdSq9l

Mmm yes. Sounds like a real good discussion @CillizzaCNN.

I actually can't stand Dana Loesch, but this is just immature and bad politics. Mark my words, this thing is going to come back to bite and not in the way gun control activists envision. https://t.co/iDWCEGLPvv

That’s what Ben Shapiro just said.
FYI. Dana didn’t shoot the students. pic.twitter.com/7jQZYt8cf7

If you think @dloesch murdered kids in Parkland rather than an evil shooter, your morality is skewed nearly beyond repair.
