Every time there is a school shooting, the Left are the first to get on the soapbox and scream that we have to ban guns (whether it's scary 'assault rifles' or all guns, doesn't matter).
If it saves one life, they argue, it's worth the loss of our rights.
Yet that crowd is awfully silent about yet another child killed by an illegal immigrant.

A Texas family is fighting for justice after a seven-year-old girl was allegedly killed by an illegal immigrant in a drunk driving crash earlier this month.
Joel Gonzalez Chacin, 41, was charged with intoxication manslaughter for the death of Ivory Smith, a second-grade student at Klenk Elementary School in Houston.
'We have so many memories of Ivory,' Collins told 'Fox & Friends' host Steve Doocy.
'She was such a bubbly star to us. She loved the spotlight. She loved to dance. She loved gymnastics. She had a YouTube channel, and we're just going to miss her. She was always that smile, you see. She was always smiling, and we didn't protect her. Texas laws didn't protect her.'
Ivory, like 12-year-old Jocelyn Nungaray or the 13-year-old Manhattan girl who was raped, or the 14-year-old Indiana girl who was almost trafficked, deserved to be protected from the illegal immigrants who harmed or killed them.
The same people who haven't met a gun control law they didn't want to pass, the Second Amendment be damned, are the same people who vow to stand with those same illegal immigrants against big, mean Donald Trump.
The mayor of Denver said the police and '50,000 citizens' would stand in direct confrontation of the Trump administration and ICE. He called it a Tiananmen Square moment, but later walked it back. Mike Johnston campaigned on reducing gun violence by enforcing red flag laws and establishing a ten-day waiting period to purchase guns.
Illinois governor J.B. Pritzker has said state law enforcement will not cooperate with immigration enforcement. In November, a federal judge ruled Illinois assault weapons ban unconstitutional. After that ruling, Pritzker said in a statement, 'Despite those who value weapons of war more than public safety, this law was enacted to and has protected Illinoisans from the constant fear of being gunned down in places where they ought to feel secure.'
Maura Healey, governor of Massachusetts, vowed to use 'executive power' to stop Trump's deportation plans. In July, she signed legislation that would crack down on 'ghost guns', criminalized possession of bump stocks and requires a permit for live-fire training.
So why do they care so little about the Americans, including children, who are harmed by illegal immigrants?
Why happened to 'If it saves just one life'?
