Democrat James Clyburn is disappointed in Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas for not being his kind of black person. You know, the utterly racist kind. Rep. from South Carolina says he regrets supporting the confirmation of Thomas to SCOTUS.
Here’s more. (READ)
James Clyburn says he regrets advocating for Clarence Thomas to join the Supreme Court.
"I will own up to that mistake."
"I had no idea that Clarence Thomas would rebel the way he has against his own background and experiences."
Disappointed in James here for not just coming out and saying what he means, instead of playing rhetorical word games.
Which is: 'Thomas is betraying black people.'
Clyburn is bummed that Thomas respects the U.S. Constitution and doesn’t embrace the racism he and his Democrat Party practice. Poor thing! Here he is on Sunday's Meet the Press. (WATCH)

Background and experiences shouldn’t mean a thing to a principled Justice. It’s all about the Constitution, Jim

He’s not about identity politics. He’s about interpreting the law

Clyburn thinks Thomas should rule with his skin, not his brain and the text of the U.S. Constitution.
Posters say they’re tired of the Democrat Party’s racism, which foolishly holds that people must share the same political opinions based on the color of their skin.
The monolithic mindset. They believe all people of a particular marginalized group must think and vote alike.
That in and of itself is prejudicial.— Beach Dogs (@dlwjr6) August 30, 2026
Clyburn isn’t upset Clarence Thomas “betrayed” his background. He’s upset Thomas thinks for himself and doesn’t share his politics. Funny how race suddenly becomes everything when a Black conservative refuses to fall in line. That’s not equality. That’s ideological racism.

Clyburn can stay upset.
Commenters say Clyburn views Thomas as a Judas of sorts for his 'race betrayal.' His freedom of thought scares the Democrat.
Yikes!

Let me paraphrase:
“I didn’t know he would break his chains and escape.”
Pretty much it right there.

‘Darn, another one got away!’
Posters say Thomas threatens Democrats like Clyburn who want everything viewed through the lens of race. His colorblindness on the bench stands to end their race-based grift.
Translation: “Justice Thomas makes constitutionally accurate decisions that threaten the extortion race activists industry.”

Exactly why Clarence Thomas was the right man for the job. Making Clyburn happy means picking someone for all the wrong reasons.

Supporting Thomas may be the best decision Clyburn ever made, but he can’t see it or celebrate it because of his tired, ridiculous racism.
