Home Depot is a white-hot trending topic on Twitter today. So what’s the deal? Are they having a fantastic sale on dishwashers or something? BOGO two-by-fours?

Wouldn’t you like that to be the reason? Alas, prepare to be disappointed:

Canada, eh? OK, that makes a little more sense. That’s not saying much, though, because this is still all very, very stupid.

Please comment, Home Depot. And please let that comment be something along the lines of “We would never in a million years put out something so dumb and terrible, because we don’t want to virtue-signal; we just want to sell you home improvement stuff because that’s what we’re supposed to be doing.”

For what it’s worth, Snopes has looked into the matter and confirmed that the information packet is legit (“legit” as in real, not as in something we should respect Home Depot for):

Home Depot spokesperson confirmed this is real — it comes from the company's "Canadian division" — though the rep said it is not part of required companywide training, nor was it "created or approved" by the corporation's DEI department.

OK, so if the packet isn’t part of required company-wide training and it wasn’t created or approved by Home Depot’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Department, then what, exactly, is it for? Is it part of some kind of unofficial training program? Is it something that a couple of woke employees decided to put together on their own?
