Ron DeSantis has been on quite a roll. Being right about COVID was a big effing deal, of course. But just recently, the successful passage of the Parental Rights in Education bill, also known more dishonestly as the “Don’t Say Gay” bill, has become another feather in his cap.
Floridians as a whole don’t seem to be in a mad rush to cast him out, at least not just yet. And that means that for DeSantis’ aspiring gubernatorial race opponents Charlie Crist and Nikki Fried, it’s gonna be a bit of an uphill battle.
Crist’s strategy of embracing Ron DeSantis’ policies is unlikely to bring it home for him, but there’s still Nikki Fried! She’s still out there, tenacious as ever and not too proud to press forward with desperate narratives:
