Nancy Pelosi has had a rough time when it comes to denouncing Ilhan Omar’s anti-Semitism. It’s almost as if she hasn’t actually been all that serious about purging the Democratic Party of anti-Semitic bigotry.
Well, apparently we’ve been all wrong about Nancy. Clearly she takes anti-Semitism very, very seriously, as evidenced by her “candid discussion” with … Jeremy Corbyn?
Pleased to have had a candid discussion with @jeremycorbyn today about the direction of Brexit, Northern Ireland, NATO, acting boldly on climate, protecting human rights, and the necessity of forcefully confronting anti-Semitism & Islamophobia. pic.twitter.com/xadfAaZO8d

What would Jeremy Corbyn know about confronting anti-Semitism? He’s an expert when it comes to drumming it up, but that’s about it.
Speaking with CORBYN about confronting anti-Semitism?? https://t.co/tkS0esaS8l

"Candid discussion with Jeremy Corbyn… confronting antisemitism".
And I'm Abraham Lincoln.

It’s not clear from her tweet exactly what was said, but why is Nancy Pelosi engaging with a monster like Jeremy Corbyn at all? And then representing it as a positive?
Would you prefer it said she spoke at him?

would prefer if she pressed him to deal with anti-Semitism… maybe she did.
— Josh Kraushaar (@HotlineJosh) April 15, 2019
So you would prefer that something happened instead of the thing that actually happened, even though you don't know what happened?
— Josh Resnick (@mr_resnick) April 15, 2019
would prefer that the message being sent from the Speaker's Office was that: a) she confronted Corbyn about his party's anti-Semitism problem; b) or absent that, avoid meeting with him in the first place.
— Josh Kraushaar (@HotlineJosh) April 15, 2019
The only reason to believe the message wasn't A is because you don't want to believe that. If she met with Modhi or Ghani and the tweet said she spoke with them about the importance of protecting minority rights, would you assume she was taking tips from them?
— Josh Resnick (@mr_resnick) April 15, 2019
like I originally wrote, that wasn't the message sent from her Twitter feed. It should have been.
Was giving the Speaker the benefit of the doubt by acknowledging that it's possible those conversations took place (but not publicized).

Nancy Pelosi has a pattern of refusing to put her money where her mouth is when it comes to condemning anti-Semitism. Why should we give her the benefit of any doubt anymore?
This lady is out of her mind https://t.co/eIT1cxnMS6
