As Twitchy told you yesterday, in a ridiculously smug interview with Variety, the ridiculously smug Jim Acosta suggested that Trump voters “don’t have all their faculties.” Acosta got plenty of pushback over those remarks, but today, he’d like to set the record straight:
Regarding my interview with Variety, my comments have been twisted by some outlets. As you can plainly see, I'm not referring to Trump supporters. I am talking about people who threaten journalists. Links to transcript and video below. https://t.co/SpEBiyVyQd pic.twitter.com/KZ7tkllEHQ
— Jim Acosta (@Acosta) April 25, 2018
Oh, well. In that case, he’s totally vindicated! Or … not.
We already knew what you thought of us but thanks for putting on the record ????

“Not referring to Trump supporters”? Could’ve fooled us, Jimbo.
But those ppl are Trump supporters. Somehow I don’t see Hillary supporters taking Trump’s words seriously…. https://t.co/ZMLFmkjQxQ

So when you said Trump's rhetoric could inspire people missing all of their "faculties" to hurt journalists, you were talking about Hillary supporters too? https://t.co/Nm8LFZVuRo
— Amber Athey (@amber_athey) April 25, 2018
Come on, Jim. You can do better than that.
I would go with the reporter got hacked and those were not your words. More plausible for sure.

Ha!
"People around the country" don't know that Trump is "an act" but you do, right, Jim? Those "people" interpret the daily "attacks" on you by Spicer and Sanders as KILL JOURNALISTS! because the "people" are crazy, and that's Trump's fault. Have I got it? Just want to make sure.

I heard and saw the interview, I took it the way it was described. But then again I am a Yuge @POTUS fan. With only half my marbles ???

Pretty hilarious to see Acosta try to stake out the moral high ground when he’s got one foot in the grave he’s been digging for himself.
Your a liar. People can plainly see what you said. We are not as stupid as you think we are. You need a new line of work because what your doing is not cutting it.

What Acosta — and many of his fellow Real Journalists™ — are not doing is any real examination of their own shortcomings.
*Not valid for Bernie Sanders or his campaign volunteers who shoot up baseball fields & Republicans in Congress pic.twitter.com/96F5vnGEyl

Bernie Sanders campaign worker shoots up Republicans & it’s so odd how no one demanded of him that we have a conversation about his rhetoric
— Stephen Miller (@redsteeze) April 25, 2018
Acosta certainly made no such demands. Wonder why that is …
Your network put an old woman on blast and allows people to accuse 2nd amendment supporters of having blood on their hands. You're not innocent in creating a toxic environment. https://t.co/UOoRsug8X0

When Jim Acosta decides to shine the blinding spotlight on himself and the rest of the MSM, maybe we’ll take him more seriously. Until then, he’ll keep getting treated like the colossal joke that he is.
I'm not offended at all it's how you feel and you are entitled to your own opinion. In my opinion I think that you are a clown.

Don’t worry Jim, we thought you were a hack before and still do.

It is your right to identify as a journalist but please act like a man.
