As Twitchy told you yesterday, Democratic Rep. Frederica Wilson blasted Donald Trump for allegedly disrespecting fallen Green Beret La David Johnson in remarks to his widow.
This afternoon, Gen. John Kelly stepped up to the podium to speak about what happened — and to call out those like Wilson who have chosen to politicize Johnson’s death.
With his unique perspective as a Gold Star father, Kelly’s words were particularly poignant and powerful:

"It stuns me that a member of Congress would listen in on that conversation. It absolutely stuns me. I thought that, at least, was sacred." https://t.co/HQ9cyBPVQC

Yes, Kelly made a point to say this should be sacred. Didn't limit it to one side or one person. https://t.co/0GoNPbS7Pj

Out of the mess of this he-said-she-said back-and-forth, Gen. Kelly has emerged as a voice of grace and reason.
Chills, man. Chills. Holy shit. He walked in Arlington National Cemetery in reaction to Rep Wilson's grandstanding.https://t.co/E2kOHwkQzf

So many people could learn so much from Gen. Kelly.
I hope every member of our media and every American takes a few minutes today to listen to Gen. John Kelly's remarks.
