As Twitchy reported, Gen. John Kelly took to the podium Thursday afternoon and called out Democratic Rep. Frederica Wilson, who has accused President Donald Trump of disrespecting fallen Green Beret La David Johnson in a call made to his widow.
Kelly, himself a Gold Star father, made a powerful statement.

While viewers called Kelly’s words gut-wrenching and chilling, CNN contributor and former Hillary Clinton spokesman Brian Fallon wanted to make sure that they weren’t too “distracted” by Kelly’s uniform to realize he was just acting as an enabler for Trump.
Kelly isnt just an enabler of Trump. He's a believer in him. That makes him as odious as the rest. Dont be distracted by the uniform.

“Distracted by the uniform.” A stunning & classless thing to say about a man who has worn it with distinction and sacrificed so much. https://t.co/aNGyaNcEU1

This was not a good thing to say — no matter where you stand politically. https://t.co/sPlDgfb1kU

Why are you attacking a Gold Star father? You told us last year attacking Gold Star families was beyond the pale. #Odd https://t.co/MfmNA3u15f
