As Twitchy told you, CNN’s Andrew Kaczynski is doing his damnedest to defend his decision to threaten to expose the Reddit user who created the Trump wrestling gif that so hurt CNN’s feelings. Kaczynski’s reputation wasn’t all that great to begin with, and this Reddit thing has only made it worse.

So, how to go about fixing it? Kaczynski’s former BuzzFeed boss, editor in chief Ben Smith, probably thought this might help:

Well, it doesn’t mean nothing … a defense from Smith, whose own journalistic standards are questionable at best, actually makes Kaczynski look even worse.
