As Twitchy told you, Liberal Ontario Member of Provincial Parliament Mitzie Hunter has excused Canadian MP Justin Trudeau’s history of blackface, calling it “a teachable moment for all of us.” But just in case Trudeau’s Canadian apologists aren’t enough, he can take comfort in knowing that he’s got quite a few over here, too. In addition to outlets like Slate and the Daily Beast trying to minimize the offensive nature of blackface, Trudeau’s also got MSNBC in his corner.

But he’s been very contrite, and isn’t that all that really matters? Conservatives need to stop pouncing and just let Trudeau keep teaching them things.
