The media’s latest contribution to journalism is treating a woman in a skirt like she’s starring in a late-night Cinemax scene just because she happened to be sitting next to Donald Trump at a football game.
Natalie Harp was doing her job — laptop out, showing the president and a senator something on a screen — and Aaron Rupar decided the real story was her legs. The same crowd that spent years screaming about objectification suddenly can’t help themselves the second a conservative woman wears clothes that aren’t a potato sack.
It’s not reporting. It’s projection with a press pass.
And Rupar seems a tad bit fixated on reporting about Harp in just this way, making insinuations about the young aide and the president.
