NBC10 Boston COMMENTATOR Sue O’Connell — she’ll remind you she’s not a reporter until the servers melt — is once again treating “we didn’t print his name” like a get-out-of-doxx-free card after her station dumped the holdout juror’s unique court-record breadcrumbs all over the internet.
The same network that sat down for a cozy backyard chat with the 11 jurors who wanted to let a mother walk after strangling her three kids suddenly developed a burning investigative interest in the one guy who wouldn’t play along, then acted shocked when public dockets and family affidavits did the rest of the work.
Sue’s latest defense is the journalistic equivalent of lighting the match, walking away, and demanding proof she personally struck it.
I have yet to see any evidence that I broke any laws, named or identified a juror without their consent.

You don't seem to realize that the powerful attorneys for the lone juror are scouring everything you say. Hasn't NBC advised you to keep quiet? Such very poor judgment by you every step of the way.

What Sue fails to understand is that it's not just the fact that she went after the juror that's a problem; it's that she's made it where any American tasked with serving on a jury will have second thoughts about doing their actual civic duty. If there's even a chance a COMMENTATOR might try and ruin their lives if they don't make a certain decision, what's the point?
