Welp, we hope the GOP is happy with itself, making it rain a lot and stuff. You’d think those evil tax cuts would have been enough but OH NO, now they are causing floods or something.
Freakin’ evil Republicans.
Sure, what we just wrote is totally silly BUT it makes about as much sense as what AOC wrote about the flooding in DC.
Unprecedented flooding is quickly becoming a new normal.
Despite that, Republicans are tripling down on fossil fuels w/no plan to transition off them, or make the critical infra investments we need to prep for the climate crisis.
Each day of inaction puts more of us in danger. https://t.co/J8yqzguN5O

We thought AOC was going on vacation.
And huh?
Weather is not climate but only in winter. https://t.co/ShYshUQ0dE
— AgainstTrumpDude (@TheAmishDude) July 8, 2019
So wait, is weather climate or is climate weather?
Is this one of those what came first things, like the chicken or the egg?
Heh.
You should support, campaign and vote for a congressional candidate with a plan to fix things.

HA HA HA HA HA HA
At what atmospheric concentration of carbon dioxide will there no longer be floods? 300PPM? 250PPM? Please use math in your answer.
— Tom Elliott (@tomselliott) July 8, 2019
Whoa.
Excuse us but we were told there would be no math.
Yeah, there were no floods until 30 years ago.
— Brian from the thing (@Brian60days) July 8, 2019
Floods are totally a new thing.
I lived in DC for 8 years. Flooding is not unprecedented. The whole city was built on a swamp—literally.
— Anonymous Finch (@AnonymousFinch) July 8, 2019
Literally.
Rain is now the GOP’s fault. Gotcha.
— TheCubeDweller (@TheAlfordOmega) July 8, 2019
Dammit!
The second problem, in addition to the wrong remedy being proposed, with your statement is the unscientific assertion that rain storms are indicative of warming.
There is lots of natural variability in the weather and climate which in turn has many causes.
— wernet (@wernet) July 8, 2019
If you're so environmentally concerned, where is your proposed nuclear power legislation?
— Sanguine Sam (@DangerousDialog) July 8, 2019
But you’re going on vacation?
— Dana J Garvey (@DJG1313) July 8, 2019
Not soon enough.
Major flooding in the Potomac basin occurred in 1889, 1936, 1937, 1942, and 1972… it's not unprecedented. It happens every 30 to 50 years.
— Justin Hart (@justin_hart) July 8, 2019
But … wait for it … keep waiting … yup, keep waiting … ORANGE MAN BAD and since he’s a Republican, REPUBLICANS BAD.
