Is it just our imagination or does Kamala Harris remind you of the embarrassing mom trying to hang out with her daughter and the other cool kids to prove how hip she really is? Ok, we get it, AOC gets far more media time than Kamala and this will get her some much-needed attention considering Biden hasn’t even really announced he’s running in 2020 and he’s beating her by double digits in polls already but c’mon … co-sponsoring this dumpster fire? Really?
I’m proud to co-sponsor @AOC and @EdMarkey's Green New Deal. We must aggressively tackle climate change which poses an existential threat to our nation.
— Kamala Harris (@KamalaHarris) February 7, 2019
There’s no way Kamala read this thing.
No. Way.
Sure, she’s a raving Leftist with some crazy ideas of her own but even SHE must know there is no way to rebuild all the buildings and get rid of airplanes and create a chocolate river … oh wait, that was just something this editor wanted to happen.
Moving on.
Bwahahahahahahaha
— m/ -=EdVT=- m/ (@CargoShortLife) February 7, 2019
Yup, that was our reaction as well.
Can’t wait until every building in America has been rebuilt.
— Steve (@steeleman04) February 7, 2019
Won’t that be totally rad? We hope they build them out of chocolate bars … hrm, maybe this editor needs to stop and eat lunch.
On a more serious note, there were people of all political persuasions on her tweet screeching, ‘DANGER WILL ROBINSON!’
The GND calls for replacement of 83% of installed electrical generating capacity within 10 years. Please provide specifics as to the cost and technologies planned to accomplish this given the magnitude of the proposal.
— Scott Keys (@ascottkeys86) February 7, 2019
Dude, rich people will pay for it all. And the leprechauns.
Duh.
First we will have to discover a new building material for buildings and railways. Can’t mine steel, copper and aluminum.
— Billy Garrett (@billygarrett57) February 7, 2019
Ummm hello, chocolate?
I finally found out how to think of Kamala Harris as a progressive, by comparing her to @SpeakerPelosi.
— Pat?Sto (@PatStowe) February 7, 2019
We’re pretty sure that’s not a good thing but eh.
Rejecting nuclear power is incompatible with a green new deal. People who actually care about climate change and reducing CO2 emissions, and any person who actually believes in science, should recognize this as extremely counterproductive.
— Jason Voelker (@JasonVoelker1) February 7, 2019
Yeah! What he said.
The Green New Deal does not aggressively tackle climate change. It pretends Tesla charging stations and family farms can save us, while dismissing carbon pricing, carbon capture, and nuclear power, and ignoring land use.
I hope you'll switch your support toward carbon dividends.

I was reading about this Green New Deal last night… I was ?. What's the plan to pay for this?
— David Reid ??♂️ (@DReeeiiiddd) February 7, 2019
Magic Money Tree https://t.co/fndUhtdysb

So no chocolate river.
FINE.
