Mayor Bill de Blasio seems pleased that Amazon will be bringing tens of thousands of good jobs to New York City, as any mayor worth his salt would be. Job growth is usually a good thing … unless your base is filled with a bunch of shrieking, angry, socialists.
New York City is about to get tens of thousands of new, good paying jobs and Amazon is about to meet the most talented work force in the world in one of the most diverse places on the planet. Welcome to Queens, #HQ2.

Sounds like a win-win to us? *shrug*
The replies on this tweet are EVERYTHING.
NOPE, NYC doesn’t want this
— Stefanie Iris Weiss? (@EcoSexuality) November 13, 2018
Right? Because who wants a lot of well-paying jobs getting in the way of their over-governed, failing, socialist utopia.
This is not a move that will benefit the working class people of Queens.
There is a reason this deal was done in the dark — away from the eyes of the public.
You know whatever 'benefits' #HQ2 brings it will likely come at tremendous cost to the people that are already here

Right? Jobs are such a bummer.
Instead of giving Amazon a billion dollars — FIX. THE. SUBWAY.
— No IDC NY (@NoIDCNY) November 13, 2018
Instead of growing the economy fix the subway.
LOL
Gotta love this city.
bad take william

Yeah, William.
This is terrible for the communities you represent. A giveaway of needed money to those who need it least. You should be ashamed.

Yes, Amazon will bring just as much good to NYC as tech has to the SF Bay. We can’t afford homes, the roads are shit, homelessness has increased, evictions are on the rise, one mention of taxes and they threaten to jump ship. Good luck Queens, organize and fight now.

This reaction is confusing.
Then again, this editor is a hardcore capitalist who sees job growth in a community as a good thing so hey, what does she know?
Looks like the citizens of NYC are not interested in Amazon building a distribution hub in NYC
I guess you, as mayor should let Amazon know so they can make other plans. I'm sure there is another community that would welcome it https://t.co/azxHcC9xJg— Big Ed (@Falconeddie1) November 13, 2018
That. ^
