'No SIR!' Brit Hume SCHOOLS Rep. Ted Lieu on the REALITY of 'children separated at the border'

The Washington Post’s piece on so-called ‘migrant’ families separated at the border leaves much to be desired, as usual. Once again we see an article written to support narrative instead of reporting on the facts.

Color us not shocked.

From the Washington Post:

The Trump administration’s decision to criminally prosecute all adults crossing the southern border led to the separation of more than 2,500 children from their parents or other adults this spring. After President Trump halted the separations on June 20, a federal judge ordered the government to reunite all children under age 5 with their families by July 12 and all older children by July 26.

The government, which did not have a reunification plan in place at the time of the judge’s order, says it has returned all children whose parents have been located and cleared through background checks. But as of Aug. 1, 572 children remain stripped from their parents or guardians and in government custody.

Huh, interesting how the piece leaves out the main reason why most of these ‘children’ aren’t reunited with the families yet. Brit Hume called them out perfectly:

That's incorrect. The Administration briefed Judiciary Cmte last month. There are 2 categories: children who show up without adults, and children separated from their families under Trump's revoked policy. Of the children separated from families, about 98% came with a parent.

HA! Ted so desperately wants to push the narrative that the Trump administration hates brown people SO MUCH that it’s being unnecessarily cruel to these illegal immigrant children, but the reality is many of those minors are unaccompanied at the border.

No sir. The fact that the administration chooses to categorize them differently in no way contradicts what I said. There are far more children separated from parents who arrive that way then there are children separated at the border.
