Seems victim-blaming is all the rage now that a teenager was attacked by a grown man because he was wearing a MAGA hat.
Don’t take our word for it, look at this from blue-check, Mike Stuchbery.
Folks mad that I said kid who lost his MAGA cap and a drink thrown on him got off easy. I just think he learned a valuable lesson in personal responsibility. You want to offend, be prepared to face the consequences.

He got off easy.
Huh.
It was probably incredibly scary and traumatizing to be attacked for wearing a baseball hat.
A MAGA cap, like it or not, is incredibly loaded. It may not be a Klan hood, or a Nazi armband, but to the people who have suffered or been attacked by the current US administration, it's a metaphorical punch in the gut.
Don't want to cop some flack, don't wear one.
— Mike Stuchbery?? (@MikeStuchbery_) July 6, 2018
No.
It’s not.
It’s a hat. Not a Klan hood or a Nazi armband.
It’s. A. Hat.
What an incredibly ignorant thing to say, especially for a person who has ‘teacher’ in their bio.
It's very telling that these ass kissers feel the need to hem and haw over the assault of a teenager to save face with the Woke Mafia. https://t.co/A6NPibWdsd

Gotta make sure their buddies know they’re WOKE.

Bingo.
"You want to offend, be prepared to face the consequences,"….thought the Charlie Hebdo jihadists as they slaughtered cartoonists.

Wow.
And ouch.
Who says he wore it to offend? And if you are offended by "Make America Great Again", you clearly have mental issues. If you are so offended that it causes you to take physical action, you deserve to be in a padded room.

Imagine being this triggered over a damn hat.
Same with the Hispanic guy. Consequences. What I find amazing is you defending hispanic guy that used the word ni**er and r fine w that. But you’re all so freaking backward who cares anymore.

Telling.
"A short skirt, like it or not, is incredibly loaded. It may not be a corset, or a visible bra strap, but to the people who have trouble controlling their sexual urges, it's a metaphorical punch in the gut.
Don't want to get sexually assaulted, don't wear one."
Good one, Mike. https://t.co/FThNeykyWk

He didn’t care for this comparison because it’s too close to the truth.
This is such an awful take, and it says so, so, so much more about those who send it my way.
What you're telling me is that, on some level, the idea of a woman baring her skin *is* a provocation, worthy of a response. https://t.co/k1OuDIXVTM
— Mike Stuchbery?? (@MikeStuchbery_) July 6, 2018
Dude.
That would only be true if I thought women deserved to be assaulted for their choice of clothing. Clearly, I do not. I am making an example of how poor your argument is.
No one should be assaulted for their choice of clothing, least of all a MAGA hat–or a short skirt. Get it? https://t.co/ncYT6gi8o3
— Ian Miles Cheong (@stillgray) July 6, 2018
So what you're telling me Ian, is that wearing a cap, and the power differentials & societal complexities involved with being a woman in today's world are in any way alike?
It's not even on the table dude, get that out of here. https://t.co/OyP7fycO2a
— Mike Stuchbery?? (@MikeStuchbery_) July 6, 2018
Nope, he didn’t get it.
The takeaway here, folks, is that adults should know better than to attack a minor EVER, let alone simply because they’re wearing a hat. If your level of outrage and crazy is such that you think what Jimenez did was ok, then it’s time to take a step back from politics.
It’s not ok.
And it definitely not ok to blame the victim.
