We read a lot of negative and angry things on Twitter … such is the world of social media.
But every once in awhile we come across a positive thread that must be shared with the maniacs who read us.
Like this from a young man you’ve likely never heard of named Jauan D. Knight.
Man y’all. I’m 21. I have a degree. A full time job(Career). And am about to get a second degree for free. Y’all I’m from the hood. I was born to a 15 year old mother. I battled suicide for 5 years. This was not supposed to be my story. To God be the glory.

The thread itself shows why Jauan has indeed been as successful as he has been; this level of humility and modesty is missing with so many young adults.
We know, we sound like the old lady yelling at kids to get off her lawn, but it’s true.
You really don’t give yourself the credit there? I’d be interested in the additional ben. aspects of your life that you felt weren’t worth mentioning, but felt somehow as though they were god given. I’m hoping it’s something more than “my resilience”. Just curious y u pass credit

This is so good.
If God exists, everyone has God. There are also plenty of people that accept God that aren’t as fortunate to find themselves in the situation you’re presently referencing. So, I’m deducing that there is something about You that is the likely differentiator, deserving the credit.

I’m not offended, you have the right to question. I credit my story to God because I KNOW it was God who brought me out. Things happened that I absolutely could not have handled by myself. Confirmations. Signs. Miracles. I credit a living God because of experiences in my journey.

I also never cease to credit my mother. She took a bad situation and made it better for me. But, if you ask her, she would also give God credit for helping her make it through. Faith is never a scientifically proven thing, but tested faith is certain, and I am certain it was God
