Many people in social media, including several YouTube content creators, called YouTube OUT for this patronizing and insulting tweet that all but implies they don’t think black content creators can actually get subscribers unless they are ‘guilted’ or reminded to do so.
Which is SO damn insulting.
Sky Williams, a director, stand-up comedian, video blogger and content creator went OFF (and rightfully so):
We black creators are fucking fantastic with or without you and your soapbox.
Don’t tell people to fucking sub to me because im black. I want people to sub to me because i’m a fucking excellent content creator.
