If you read nothing else on Twitter today (and with how crazy it’s been who could blame you), read this thread from Sara Gonzales.
Trust us.
Gonzales talks about how she believed Ford in the beginning and then explains why she stopped believing her … and it’s brutal, crushing, and powerful, all in one.
Read.
I believed Dr. Ford experienced sexual assault at some point in her life. After reading the letter her lawyers sent to @ChuckGrassley yesterday, I don't believe her anymore. At the beginning of her testimony, she said:

"My motivation coming forward was to be helpful and to provide facts about how Mr. Kavanaugh's actions have damaged my life… It is not my responsibility to determine whether Mr. Kavanaugh deserves to sit on the Supreme Court, my responsibility is to tell you the truth."
— Sara Gonzales (@SaraGonzalesTX) October 4, 2018
Huh. Actually, her responsibility was just to prove her allegations against Kavanaugh.
Which she clearly did not.
But yesterday, her lawyers stated they would not provide requested documents to the FBI that would support her testimony. They would hold on to them in an effort to strong arm the FBI to interview her (even though she had already been interviewed under oath).

Convenient, eh?
If Dr. Ford's goal was truly as she stated above, that she wanted to be helpful, she would have handed over the documents so the FBI would have the "facts." If you've already put your name out there and testified in front of the whole country, and it was true, you'd cooperate.

Bingo.
They’re playing games at this point, not helping people which is incredibly infuriating if you think about it. Her goal all along was not to ‘help’ anyone other than Democrats in stalling and perhaps blocking Kavanaugh.
That’s becoming more and more evident.
Then I thought maybe her lawyers were keeping information from her (e.g. her confusion upon being told the committee offered to come to her so she didn't have to fly). But that would mean that she hadn't been watching any coverage, she would have had to have been sequestered.

She’s not as dumb as she plays.
Unless they threw her in a locked room with no access to the media and no communication with the outside world, there's no way she didn't know the FBI was requesting documents for their investigation, which means she was involved in the decision to withhold the documents.

Yup.
And that's not something a survivor of sexual assault would do if her intention was to "be helpful and provide facts." It's just not logical. And it's a disgrace to sexual assault survivors who do speak out. /endrant

Boom went the dynamite.
Seriously.
Ford has set women's right back 100 years. A real liability risk in the work force now that sex has been weaponized.

I still don't know why and maybe I missed it somewhere in the avalanche of coverage, but why wouldn't Ford file a report with the local police in MD if an assault happened? That would start the sort of criminal investigation her attorneys are asking of the FBI, would it not?

I’m embarrassed by the tactics younger women are learning from the hysterical and unhinged left. its not ok to lie about assault or sex for a political reason or for any reason. And you should expect ppl to question your veracity when accusing others of felonious behavior.

All day this. ^
The way she allowed her lawyers to hug and touch her was odd to me as survivors often hate random people touching them intimately. The hair hanging in her eyes while she spoke is something ZERO professional women would allow to happen. Silly but it’s a tell.

So many ‘tells’ at this point we’ve completely lost track.
And thank God it’s almost over.
