BREAKING: Senate Homeland Security and Gov Accountability Votes to Refer Fauci for Criminal Contempt

After Dr. Anthony Fauci invoked his Fifth Amendment rights more than 100 times during last week’s hearing under Chairman Rand Paul—refusing to answer questions about COVID origins, gain-of-function research, and his private communications — the Republican-led panel moved forward. The vote was largely along party lines. Democrats first tried to table the resolution entirely. When that flopped, they floated the idea of granting Fauci immunity from DOJ prosecution so he might finally open his mouth. That motion failed too.

... and testify, but their motions failed.

Democrats had to know Fauci would just come in and plead the fifth again. And again. And again.

Paul has argued for years that Fauci misled Congress and the public.

The former NIAID director, who received a preemptive pardon from President Biden, still faces questions about conduct that critics say falls outside that protection. Paul made clear the issue wasn’t Fauci’s policy views but whether a witness can simply refuse to answer after being subpoenaed and walk away unscathed. The referral now heads toward the Justice Department. With Jeanine Pirro serving as U.S. Attorney for the D.C., the process could move faster than the usual Senate floor vote that would almost certainly face a Democratic filibuster.

For years, Fauci’s defenders insisted any scrutiny was “unhinged.” Now that the committee has called the bluff and Democrats are reduced to offering legal shields just to get answers, the optics are less than flattering. Accountability, it turns out, is not optional simply because the witness prefers silence.

Maybe with this DOJ, things will be different?

As they always do.

There's that but they also know basically everything that happened during COVID via Fauci was used for the Democrats' benefit. They politicized a virus to get rid of Trump and destroy election security for good in this country.

We said what we said.
