I voted and I tried to leave it in the hands of God after that. Then, Laura Ingraham tweeted this:

I truly don't understand how anyone is voting for this man.

I was on a rant about this last night to my son. He reminded me most people don't pay that much attention to politics on a regular basis, and they don't know all of the lore about David Jolly.

I agree with that and perhaps it's a failure of the Donald's campaign that they haven't done more to expose Jolly and educate voters.

It's also the responsibility of voters to do even a little research. You're picking the Governor of our beautiful state, for heaven's sake.

So, I went on a little mini tweetstorm.

If you're a conservative and you don't love Byron Donalds, come take a seat by me and join the club.

In this club, however, we are also going to be realistic, intelligent beings. There are only two people with the chance of winning the Governorship of Florida. Those two men are Republican Byron Donalds or Democrat David Jolly. You can choose not to vote for either. Doesn't matter. One of the two will win. You can choose to vote for some other candidate. Again, doesn't matter. One of those two will win.

Maybe the hissy fit will feel good emotionally, but it's much like when a toddler throws themselves on the floor kicking and screaming. It garners attention and draws attention, it satisfies some internal emotional frustration, but nothing is accomplished. As adults, we should be beyond that.

So, now that we've agreed there are two options, if you're a conservative not HELPING Byron Donalds win, you're actively helping David Jolly win. David Jolly is a man in his 50's who has no idea who he is.

In the last 10 years, he has been a Republican, a Democrat and an Independent.

The Bible describes someone like him as 'double-minded' and 'unstable in all their ways'. That's not who I want at the helm when the next Category 5 hurricane hits the state.

If you reached the fifth decade of your life and you're still not sure what you believe, you don't need to lead. That's a person who is easily influenced.

Finally, a year ago, ANY conservative I know would have run the other way from a candidate propped up by Rick Wilson. Now, so many are joining forces to do his dirty work. I'm truly baffled.

David Jolly is a worse Charlie Crist. Please spare our beautiful home from him.
