Evita Duffy-Alfonso Embodies What Real Family Looks Like — And the Left Can’t Handle It

I guess this account has become a full on Evita Duffy-Alfonso fan girl account and I'm really ok with that. She is an icon and I adore how she is battling internet bullies this week. It's clear she was reared by excellent parents who emboldened her to stand strong in her beliefs.

On one hand, the Left tells women not to have children in their twenties and thirties. They say those are the years to party, practice sexual freedom, get abortions if necessary and refuse to settle down.

They tell women to focus on careers and they can have babies when they are in their 40's. Then, when Rachel Duffy has a baby in her 40's, they criticize her for the exact thing they were just championing. Make it make sense.

Actually, they're just mad she didn't kill her baby because she has Down's Syndrome. Let's be honest.

Then, a NASTY, NASTY concern troll posted about who will care for the Duffy's daughter when they are gone. Hopefully, the Duffys have many more blissful years of life.

The Good Lord willing, they operate in strength and well-being. If they don't, they have given life to many beautiful children and they all seem very willing to care for their sister. Evita has made it very clear she is up to the task. I love that.

This means so much to me because we have family friends who take care of an adult with Autism. My friend takes care of her brother who is in his 50's half the year, and her other sister takes him the other half of the year. He brings tremendous joy to their lives. He adores Disney and thankfully, we live very close to Disney so he gets to spend lots of time there. His life is full and happy. His sisters and nieces and nephews love him.

That's what family is supposed to do. Take care of each other. Part of the problem with modern America is family has started seeing one another as a burden and not a gift. That should not be. The Duffys have taught their children well. Love is about self-sacrifice at times.

Admittedly, I cried too. I'm so proud of this young woman I don't even know. I did watch her parent's love story develop on MTV as a kid so it's great to see the fruit of that relationship. Her parents should be proud.
